For centuries,
mills shaped the landscape of Eastern Styria. The Berghofer mill,
mentioned in documents as far back as the 12th century, is a "living"
record of the crafts and the cultural and economic history of Eastern
Styria. Cereals are still ground in the traditional way and the
famous Styrian pumpkin oil is produced here, too. Visitors can taste
some of this delicious Styrian "black gold" at a "tasting
with all the senses".
