At the centre
of the museum is a reconstruction of a sepulchral mound in its original
size with a display of five graves, with access for visitors wishing
to a closer look. The objects come from the "Hügelstaudach"
Roman burial ground, situated close to the museum. The glass jars
exhibited are unique in the whole of Styria.
The successful preservation of historical monuments here with regard
to architectural, archaeological, didactic, artistic and social
considerations has been awarded two architectural prizes.
