For centuries, floating mills shaped the banks of the major rivers. The Mureck floating mill is moored in the Mur and is one of the last floating mills in Central Europe. It is situated in the middle of unspoiled riverside woodland, where visitors can also sample seasonal specialities from the delicious cuisine of Styria. The main ingredients for the food come from local organic farmers, who also supply the Mur mill with cereals. |
