"When, one day, my bones have moulded in the cemetery, this mill will still be going round!" This was proclaimed by Johann Schwarz, builder of the Mill who carved these words on its beam in 1914. Sepp Pail, his grandson, reactivated the Mill. For visitors who have made an appointment, Luis will be the miller and grind his grain the old way, using nothing but the power of the water.
Very accommodatingly, right next to the Mill there is an ancient farmhouse. Carefully taken down in its original place and authentically put back together here, it now acts as a Buschenschank-type inn, thus enabling the visitor to the Berglermühle to combine a cultural date with a culinary pleasure.
