The origin of Eastern Styrian volcanoes is illustrated in two rooms using graphic images and photographs. The different types of rocks and a few of the most important minerals of the Volcanic Region, such as olivine and obsidian, are introduced. The documentation provides an insight into the volcanic activity of 2 to 17 million years ago which shaped the landscape of the region. |
